DAY 01: Dibrugarh
Arrive at Dibrugarh. Received & transfer to Heritage Planters Bungalow. Afternoon at leisure. Option to go for Tea Tour to learn about tea. Over night stay at Dibrugarh.
DAY 02: Dibrugarh To Mon
After breakfast drive to Mon (170 kms / 06 hrs) - the land of Koniyak Nagas, one of the great warriors among Nagas. Afternoon go for a walk through the Mon Market. Over night stay at Mountain View Lodge /Similar (Basic).
DAY 03: Mon
After breakfast drive to Shangnyu village, this village is ruled by the Chief Angh is a prominent village in Mon district. There is a wonderful wooden monument measuring 8 feet in height and 12 feet in breadth- believed to be constructed by heavenly angels. Human beings and other creatures are carved on this monument. Memorial stones are also found in front of the Angh's Palace. History records that good and friendly relationship existed between the Shangnyu and the Ahom Kings of Assam. Shangnyu Angh use to collect taxes from all the villages under his domain extending from Sibsagar in Assam to the Wanchos in Arunachal. After returning from Shangnyu village visit Mon Village, here also you will find tattooed Konyaks. Post lunch drive to Chui village situated about 8kms from the district headquarters of Mon.
After lunch drive to Langmeing to see head hunting trophies. On way back to Mon visit Chui village still retains its old world charm. One can see the Angh's mansion and other houses constructed in the true Konyak tradition with palm leaves roofing and the main pillars jutting out. Overnight Mon.
DAY 04: Mon To Mokokchung
After an early breakfast drive to Mokokchung (220kms /7 hrs drive).This picturesque town is the cultural center of the Ao tribes. The Ao Nagas is famous for their colorful dances. Evening visit Ungma village, the biggest Ao village and looks like an adjunct of Mokokchung town. According to legend, the early Aos settled here first after coming from Chungliyimti. This village is many centuries old and can be of interest to people who have a desire to peep into Ao folklories, customs and traditions. Overnight at Mokokchung or Mopunchyukit village guesthouse (20 kms away from Mokokchung). Accommodation here at Mokokchung is standerd.
DAY 05: Mokokchung
Full day excursion to Ao country. Visit Chuchyimlang and Mopunchyukit Village. Visit Mokokchung daily market. Ao lunch with an Ao family at Mokokchung or in a village. Over night.
DAY 06: Mokokchung To Tuophema
After breakfast drive to Tuophema village (167 kms / 04 hrs). We are in the land of Angami Nagas - great warriors among Nagas. After check in will go for walk through this beautiful Angami Village, local Angami guide will explain us all about the stories of Angami tribes. Evening cultural show at our guesthouse. Over night at Tuophema village lodge (typical Angami style cottages).
DAY 07: Tuophema To kohima
After leisurely breakfast will proceed to Kohima - the capital of Nagaland (40 kms / 02 hrs). Enroute visit rich Kohima museum. After lunch at Hotel Japfu, visit War Memorial, Kyisema village.
DAY 08: Kohima To Kaziranga National Park
Drive to Kaziranga National Park (220kms/07 hrs). "Worlds Heritage Site, Kaziranga is a title of a remarkable success story of conservation of the One Horned India Rhinoceros and other wild lives in the North East India. It is not only the homeland of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, but also provides shelter to a variety of wild lives. It is one of the significant natural habitat for in situ conservation of biological biodiversity of universal value. The values and criteria made Kaziranga National Park to get inscribed in the World Heritage Site List 1985. The Kaziranga National Park area consists of 429.93 Sq.Km. .Due to limitless poaching of this prehistoric survivor, the Kaziranga National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1940".Evening free at leisure. Over night at Kaziranga.
DAY 09: Kaziranga
Full day jungle activity at kaziranga. Over night.
DAY 10: Kaziranga To Guwahati
After breakfast drive to Guwahati (220kms / 05 hrs), for onward destination.
