Arrive at Guwahati, Received & transfer to Shillong (120 kms / 03 hrs) - The romantic city of Shillong has been one of the important tourist destinations in the northeast. It is often referred to as the “Scotland of the East” due to its striking similarity with the Scottish highlands. The city derives its name from “Leishyllong”—the Superpower or God who is believed to reside on the Shilling peak, overlooking the city. Lying in the cradle of the tall pine conifers and pineapple shrubs, Shilling’s undulating terrain is a constant source of attraction for tourists from both home and abroad. The Khasi, Jaintia and Garo tribes add color to this hilly city located at an altitude of 1465 meter. Afternoon Local sight seeing. Day 02: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE - SHILLONG
After breakfast, day excursion to Cherrapunjee– locally and officially known as Sohra, is 56 kms from Shilling, and a “must see” destination for all tourists. Apart from being the record holder for the heaviest rainfall, it was the headquarters of the Khasi/Jaintia province during British rule which was however shifted to Shillong in 1864, due to the inconvenience caused by excessive rain during the monsoon months. The average rainfall is 12,000 mm a year and the record for a single day was 2455 mm recorded in 1974 confirming it as the “Wettest place on Earth”.. Enroute visit Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Mawsmai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Thankarang Park (overlooking the panoramic view of Bangladesh) and Nohkalikai Falls (The fourth Highest Fall in the World). Over night at Shillong.
 
Kazirang Travel PackagesDay 03: SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast will proceed to Kaziranga National Park (310 Kms / 07 hrs) – Worlds Heritage Site, Kaziranga is a title of a remarkable success story of conservation of the One Horned India Rhinoceros and other wild lives in the North East India. It is not only the homeland of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, but also provides shelter to a variety of wild lives. It is one of the significant natural habitat for in situ conservation of biological biodiversity of universal value. The values and criteria made Kaziranga National Park to get inscribed in the World Heritage Site List 1985. The Kaziranga National Park area consists of 429.93 Sq.Km. with an additional area of 429.40 Sq.Km. and situated in the two districts of Assam, namely Golaghat and Nagaon. The total area of the park within Nagaon district is 175 Sq.Km., out of which 135 Sq.Km. falls under Bagori Forest Range office and 40 Sq.Km. falls within Ghorakati Forest Range office. Located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India, Assam, Kaziranga National Park covers an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass making it the ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino. Due to limitless poaching of this prehistoric survivor, the Kaziranga National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1940. Over night at JUPURI/Aranya Lodge/Bon-Havi/similar
 
Day 04: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning Elephant Safari followed by two Jeep safari to the Central Rang and Western Range of the Park. Over night at Kaziranga.
 
Day 05: KAZIRANGA - GUWAHATI
After breakfast, drive to Guwahati via Tezpur (240 kms / 06 hrs). Enroute visit the Historic Tezpur and its Ruins & Temples of BAN Dynasty. Over night at Atithi/Hotel Kalpa/similar

Day 06: AIRPORT
After breakfast drive to airport for onward destination.
